How many times in your life to you get to incorporate a large, pregnant belly into your Halloween costume? Since we were fortunately enough to have that chance this year, we decided not to waste it. After contemplating a number of possibilities, such as barefoot and pregnant, beach ball, and scary escaping baby, we settled on…The Death Star!
Of course, our costumes had to be part of a theme, right?
We used standard face paint – a layer of light gray, followed by darker gray boxes and white windows. Our local craft store only had light gray, white, and black, but mixing some black in with the light gray darkened it up perfectly. Kelli’s clothing has tiny iron-on stars all over, and she already owned the sparkly hat.
Here are a couple of shots of the painting-in-progress:
Special thanks to Pat for helping with the star field ironing!
